I was playing texas holdem the other night and two of my freinds were going for the win the cards on the table were 2,4,9, and A all club the last card was a two of harts both player had a clubs in there hand but one had a king of clubs and the other had a ten of clubs which one wins.

The best five cards win. The player with the King Clubs had the best flush. his hand was Ace ClubsKing ClubsTwo (Duece) Clubs Four Clubs Nine Clubs the other player had Ace Clubs Ten Clubs Two (Duece) Clubs Four Clubs Nine Clubs. they both had Ace high flushes, but in that case the next highest card determines the winner.

Yup, spot on. If two players have the same type of hand (i.e. flush) it will be the one with the highest card in hand that is a part of the flush.
Am I right in thinking if a flush came out on the board (hypothetical, very unlikely) and any players still in had two cards not in the flush, that it would be the player with the highest kicker that would take the pot or not?
