I'm always wary of going all in, especially preflop. I know sometimes it's essential to double up before the blinds kill you, but I really prefer to see a flop and have something solid in hand before ... |

Wait for the premium hands, don't get until you've seen the flop is my best advice for that situation.
That way, you'll never lose a marginal hand to a lucky hand, and if you get a full house or fl ... |

Well spotted Pete, yeah that sounds a little fishy. Then again, it's an easy mistake to make typing up plays from previous nights.
I couldn't tell you what I played last night at any rate! |

You need to adapt, and playing bad players is part of the deal. My advice is as with many other situations - clam up, play only premium hands and you will take jokers carrying junk for all they are wo ... |

Me, I'd be looking at folding. She may well be bluffing, but is it really worth the risk? Is the pot large enough to warrant putting more in?
If so, perhaps, but the risk of a flush would be too gr ... |

Very carefully, is my only advice - in situations like that, anyone could have paid to see the flop with crap cards and made 2 pairs perhaps?
Chris's advice about the betting patterns sounds about ... |

That's got to be a rare occurance! I would feel sick as a dog losing with quads and would have insisted you were frisked for extra cards!
Slightly silly play on your behalf - it worked out great, b ... |

Sounds like you're the kind of guy that should pull out some cash once in a while. Take the $30 that you put in out, and there - you've made $37 and you'e got gambling rights on it. Sure, it would be ... |

I would have gone all-in. You're not in a good position chip-wise, and you might not have had anything at all to go into a hand with if you'd waited.
Just my 2 cents, I just don't think you'd have ... |

Yeah I would advise a printout of those at every game. As said a lot round here recently, it's best 5 cards - the kicker only comes into play if the hands aren't a full 5 cards, such as two identical ... |

Probably one of the hands of the month, I'm still strugglign to make more than two pairs at the moment! Guess it's just ... |

I look at them when I get round to it - sometimes, I'm ready and waiting as soon as they are dealt, other times I will be "forced" when it comes to my turn to call. I don't really pay too much attenti ... |

I wouldn't hold out too much on it, but with only 2, 3 even 4 players in the game I would post that if I had the chips.
As said above, the money is to be made after the flop - you see 772 come down ... |

There's a similar thread knocking around somewhere, but the best advice I can give you off the top of my head really is to mix play up a little.
